Scio Township in partnership with the Scio Flyers have generously provided our club with a great flying site.   Our club is informal where our key goal is to learn through model aviation. We follow the Academy of Model Aeronautics safety code and all who fly at our field are required to have AMA membership.  We welcome everyone to join us in this fantastic hobby.

September 20, 2025: Night Fly
We'll gather before dark and fly into the night. Bring your lighted airplanes!  Spectators welcome!
Update:   We  'll kick things off at 3:30 pm  to watch Michigan play Nebraska.   Thanks to our members who are bringing chili/snacks/desserts to keep us fueled into the night!

October 5, 2025: UAS4STEM Kick-Off Meeting

Visitors are Welcome

When the weather is nice on any given day you will likely find someone flying at the Scio Flyers Air Field. Visitors are welcome to come out and watch our members fly their models. We encourage all visitors to take a closer look at the models and ask questions.  Our members fly a wide variety of model aircraft from micro to large. Among the aircraft flown in the club are gas and electric powered scale models of full size aircraft, sailplanes, aerobatic planes, helicopters, and Multi-Rotors. Many of our members design and build their own models and are full size aircraft Pilots.
