Learn to Fly

Interested in flying? Visitors are always welcome to come out and watch our members fly their models. We encourage all visitors to take a closer look at the models and ask questions. 

Our members can help you select your first plane. We can provide advice and assistance to get you on your way. 

The Scio Flyers participate in the AMA's Introductory Pilot Program.  Find one of our instructors at the field or contact us for more information. 

During the flying season (May - October, weather-permitting), join us on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm.

No need to bring a plane, you'll learn on a "buddy box" with our experienced instructors.
